With this option our students gain Credit Transfers for 3 of the 11 units in the Diploma which literally saves months of training time.
 
The Diploma contains 11 units in total and 6 of those are core units which must be completed in all Diploma of Accounting qualifications. The remaining 5 units are elective and chosen by TBST.
 
We chose 2 elective units that provide our students with The Law for Tax Agents Skill Set (FNSSS00008), which is essential if you wish to become a Registered Tax Agent AND the 3 remaining units, which you can gain a Credit Transfer for because they must have already been completed as part of your prerequisite qualification or skill set.

    The course is classed as Part-time for one year and equates to approximately 12 – 15 hours per week reading, working through the course material and working on assessments.   • Prerequisites

    Before commencing the FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting course you are required to have completed one of the following qualifications or skills sets:

    • FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting (or equivalent)
    • FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (or equivalent) or 
    • FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or equivalent)
    • Completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set:
     

    If you hold one of the required qualifications, you will need to provide us with a copy of your certificate. You will also need to provide us a transcript, record of results or statement of attainment showing the units you have completed.

    The FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set includes the following units:
    • FNSACC311 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
    • FNSACC312 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
    • FNSACC416 Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
    • FNSTPB402 Establish and maintain payroll systems
    • FNSTPB401 Complete business activity and instalment activity statements
    • FNSACC408 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry

    You will need to provide us a transcript, record of results or statement of attainment showing the units you have completed.
